Art jewellery, made with love

About Me

Ever since I was a child I have always enjoyed making things – sticking bits of paper, banging bits of wood together, sewing, carving, shaping and gluing. At school I wasn’t very good at drawing and was persuaded in to a more academic field. I even believed for a while I wasn’t a creative person and headed off in to a cereer in IT Marketing. But my creativity had a way of coming back to the surface through my home interiors and helping people with ideas for their own homes.

In more recent years I have been making jewellery (to start with mainly for myself) and was getting so many favourable comments I decided to take it more seriously and for the past 5 years I have been making and selling jewellery and teaching others how they too can discover their inner creativity by making their own jewellery. I stumbled upon polymer in 2007 and have predominantly worked in this medium ever since. I am in love with it’s versatility and the vibrancy of colour I can get. I have been blessed to have been tutored by some great polymer artists inlcuding Carol Blackburn, Judy Belcher and Donna Kato. I have spent time with many other artists who have shared with me ideas, tips and techniques. There is so much to learn and I am discovering new things about this amazing material almost daily.

In this blog I hope to be able to share some of my journey with you.
